Bride
by Barb Ortiz

A wedding celebration
The moment's finally here.
With great anticipation
the bride is drawing near.

As she's lead to the alter
In silks, satin, and pearls,
Her innocence and beauty
are concealed behind a veil.

The groom anxiously waiting
Is taken at the sight.
Tonight this lovely angel
Will lay down by his side.

Forsaking any other
In satin sheets of white.
His arms will hold the virgin
That now becomes his wife.
